Description

 

This is a whole Serrano ham off the bone, called 'Gran Reserva' as it has been cured for a minimum of 18 months.

Torre de Nunez use pure-bred Duroc breed pigs. These are higher in fat marbling than other breeds, which means 25% less salt is required for the initial curing. After a few weeks, the salt is washed off and the hams are hung to cure naturally over at least 18 months.

As a result of using less salt, the flavour is sweet and mellow. Much less salty than most Serrano ham on the market. And apart from the superior flavour, it is obviously a more healthy option!

The ham comes vacuum-packed for freshness.
