This is a beautifully presented netted tin of small Calico scallops. Known as Zamburinas, they are from the Rias Gallegas in northern Spain. They have been gently sauteed in 'Salsa Gallega', a rich sauce of tomatoes, onion and peppers with spices. Eat them at room temperature or serve warm with a squeeze of lemon, and some fresh parsley on crusty bread.
