The recipe for our tortas de aceite (olive oil biscuits) has been a closely-guarded secret in Castilleja de la Cuesta, just outside Seville, for generations. Our suppliers are five sisters working together to produce their great grandmother’s recipe to the same high quality, and they have not lost their touch! Their mother, Guadalupe, began supplying the local shops with the family’s delicious tortas in the 1980s. Since then, their popularity has meant growth beyond their imaginations and these tortas are famous in all of Spain and across Europe. Guadalupe is held in high regard by her daughters as the role model who taught them the value of hard work and belief in a product that is truly delicioso!
