Our new wildflower honey is from Cordoba, Andalucia. It is made by bees feeding in an area of biodiversity in Cordoba called the Parque Natural de Cardena. Famous for its wild rosemary and lavender and thousands of wild flowers.
All the vital minerals and vitamins, along with proteins, carbohydrates, antioxidants, and active compounds that protect the body in a number of different ways are present in this honey.
The bees are looked after in an artisan, traditional way, using only manual techniques. The bees are given a three week holiday from honey collection every six weeks. This gentle care for the bees gives the honey a natural warm flavour.
The interesting thing about this type of honey is that each season tastes slightly different. There are different flowers in summer and autumn and varying combinations of flowers, which make this honey very special and unique.
Try it for breakfast on toast or with yogurt and fresh fruit. It can also be used as a natural sweetener in desserts.
