Description
This smoked paprika is made from ground Capsicum peppers by El Rey de la Vera in Extremadura, south-west Spain. The peppers are picked, then dried and smoked in the traditional way over oak fires. This method was started by monks in the 15th century in the region of La Vera. The area has remained renowned for this product since then, and has its own Denomination of Origin as a guarantee of its quality. This is the bitter-sweet, medium-spicy type of paprika called 'Agridulce', presented in a 75g tin. Dulce (sweet) and Picante (spicy) are also available in the same size tin and in larger packs.
