This Asturian Cider is a still, or 'natural', cloudy cider. It is made with 100% cider apples, using natural yeasts and fermentation in traditional chestnut barrels. The colour is bright yellow and the aroma complex; dry with notes of ripe apple and subtle herbs; the flavour is fine with dry tannins.
The custom in Asturias is to pour a small amount at a time using the special pouring spout from a great distance into a flat rustic glass to introduce some air to the cider and help the flavour develop - try it and see!
