These Picos Artesanos are mini breadsticks made with extra virgin olive oil. They are made for us by an artisan company in Andalucia. Crunchy and tasty, these little breadsticks are made simply using wheat flour, extra-virgin olive oil, yeast and salt. The dough is then moulded into little bread-roll shapes before being baked. Picos are eaten throughout Spain with tapas, ham, other charcuterie, cheeses and snacks. Delicious!
Winner of a Gold medal the the 2021 Great Taste Awards, the judges said: "Attractive looking picos with a good colour and crispness. Subtle olive oil and salt flavours. A very nice flavour and texture make these very enjoyable".
