These are delicious! Sweet Prunes in a sugar syrup with L'Esperit brandy. This is a Marc de Cava from the famous Cava producer in Barcelona, d'Agustí Torelló i Mata. Marc de Cava is a brandy made from the double distillation of Macabeo grapes (one of the main grape vareities used in Cava) according to the French 'charentais' method of making brandy.
Combining the plump prunes with the most exquisite fine brandy syrup creates a fabulous dessert! Or serve with roast chicken or stewed meats for an incredible depth of flavour. We also have confit figs in Marc de Cava if you prefer.
