The finest flavoured white anchovies are from the Cantabrian sea. These delicate fresh fish are preserved by marinating them in vinegar. This keeps their white colour and delicate flavour. After marinating they are draained of vinegar, then packed in sunflower oil. They are presented in a sleeved tray.
We tasted a lot of anchovies to find ones as good as these, so we are not surprised that they won a Gold medal in the Great Taste Awards! The judges said: "Plump, juicy and succulent fillets with a freshness on the finish"
