These blue bowls and plates are hand painted in a beautiful design inspired by Spain's Moorish influences. Cenefas Azul means blue border. These plates have an intricate striking pattern in a lovely blue colour. This is the large 26cm dinner plate; we also have a 20cm Tapas side plate and two sizes of bowls.
From our new supplier of artisan ceramics in Cordoba, Ceramicas del Rio Salado. They are based in a town famous for its ceramics called La Rambla, near Cordoba in Andalucia. The company is named after the Rio Salado, a tributary of the Guadalquivir river which flows from the Cordoba region through Seville and down to the sea.
Since 1969, Ceramicas del Rio Salado have been making their own designs of ceramics and pottery. They combine tradition and originality with top quality materials, clays and glazes. The soil in this area is rich in high quality clay deposits, which has led to the town of La Rambla becoming famous for its pottery and craftmanship.
