Seafood, Tuna and Anchovies

The real taste of Spanish seafood

One of the staples of Spanish cuisine, we’ve selected some great seafood - from the very highest quality tinned ingredients to Great Taste Award winning anchovies and boquerones in trays to maintain their fabulous flavours. Try them as tapas or handed round with drinks.

The pick of Spanish Tuna, Anchovies and Sardines

We have a great range, including:

  • Bonito (white tuna) - we have the tastiest fillets from the belly and the loin
  • Mojama (dry-cured tuna) – yellow-fin tuna in a block, sliced thinly and dressed Mojama makes a great tapas dish
  • Anchovies – try Cantabrian anchovies for something less salty
  • Boquerones – anchovies marinated in garlic, salt and vinegar. Gold medal Great Taste Awards 2008!
  • Banderillas with anchovy – skewers of pickled olives, baby onion and red pepper, wrapped with Cantabrian anchovies
  • Baby sardines – a real Mediterranean delicacy

Fantastic Spanish seafood

To enjoy them at their best, serve simply with crusty bread and maybe a squeeze of lemon juice.

Seaweeds from Galicia

Back by popular demand are dried seaweeds - Nori (Laverbread), Wakame - used for making Crispy Seaweed; Irish Moss (Carageen), a vegetarian substitute for gelatine; and Sea Spaghetti - all harvested by hand using ecological methods along the coasts of Galicia. Full of nutrients and protein, these packs come with full cooking instructions included!

SEA SPAGHETTI 25G

NEW! Ulva rigida: this type of green seaweed is used for example in sushi; it is lightly prawn-flavoured, full of protein, vitamins and minerals. It comes dried, easy to rehydrate, and with cooking suggestions included.
SALTED ANCHOVIES IN OLIVE OIL 110G

This is 110g (drained weight 75g) of the best lightly salted Mediterranean anchovies, hand-packed in olive oil. They are only gently salted so have a short shelf-life and need to be kept refrigerated, but this relative lack of salt makes them plump and particularly delicious! Great Taste Award Winner 2006.
ZAMBURINAS SCALLOPS IN SCALLOP SAUCE 111G

'Calico' Scallops from the Rias Gallegas (the Galician estuary), gently sauteed in a light sauce of tomatoes, onion and peppers, olive oil and spices. Eat cold or serve warmed with some crusty bread.
