Porcini mushrooms are known also as Ceps or Boletus mushrooms, Latin name Boletus edulis. They are one of the most appreciated mushrooms for their gastronomic qualities, with a firm silky texture. Soak in water for at least five hours before use so they regain their shape; then use raw in salads or saute and add to scrambled eggs, soups and other vegetables, or eat them in a pasta sauce, in rice and meat dishes - very versatile!
